Montessori School in Suresnes

Inscriptions ouvertes / registrations open : direction@ecole-de-loptimisme.fr / 09 54 50 29 85

L’École de l’Optimisme in Suresnes is a bilingual Montessori school (nursery and elementary) for children aged from 2,5 to 12 years old.

We have chosen the Montessori teaching method to help our children grow up to be happy and confident Optimists.
This personalised teaching method follows the child’s rhythm and teaches them to trust themselves. Children progress freely in their learning, in an environment that is attentive to their well-being and rhythms.
For older children, we combine Montessori tools with a cooperative approach, in line with the skills of the French Education Nationale, to prepare them for a smooth transition to secondary school.
For each of the 3-6 years/pre-school and 6-11 years/primary environments, 2 educators (one French-speaking and one English-speaking) will take part in the learning of a maximum of 24 children each day.

At the Wednesday clubs and holiday clubs, the children are immersed in English in the mornings, and have the opportunity to enjoy all the Montessori activities in the presence of our educators, who show them the equipment. They also take part in a themed circle in English to reinforce their oral expression in the language (songs, stories, etc.).

After lunch, the children play in the playground and enjoy its play area. In the early afternoon, a creative activity is organised according to the theme of the day. Then it’s time for a snack, either outside or in the canteen, depending on the weather. Time is also set aside outside for relaxation, weather permitting. For those who stay after 4.30pm, there is time for indoor games such as kappla, construction, drawing, reading, etc.

The Team

Our team at L’Ecole de l’Optimistes de Suresnes is made up of enthusiasts who share and observe children’s lives at every moment.

Ingi

Ingi is in her third life…. After a first life in marketing and communications, she studied for an MBA in Sustainable Development and joined Danone as Director of Sustainable Development France to make her own contribution and give meaning to its actions. Passionate about people, she first helped to set up a social reintegration company, then decided to study positive psychology and neuroscience. Now a Positive Psychology practitioner, she puts all her energy into helping people of all ages… to her great delight.
She humbly shares her personal journey and the progress she has made to encourage you to do the same.

Guillaume

Guillaume is a human and creative manager. Operational management, project management, sales and purchasing sum up his 20 years of professional experience.
Over the years, he has continually sought to use his human skills to share, acquire and pass on new knowledge and skills. Returning to school in 2018 to study for an Executive MBA, he has rediscovered education and teaching in retrospect.
Today Guillaume is wholeheartedly committed to the management and development of the School of Optimism.
